Judy Anderson, co-director Hudson Valley Coalition for Life

It is with great sadness that we pass along the news that two days ago our wonderful co-director Judy lost her years long battle with cancer. People involved in the metropolitan right to life arena know what a powerful voice she was for justice and life. Many people may not be aware of her many years working with Franciscan Fr. Dan Egan "to support his successful program in drug addiction counseling and rehabilitation programs throughout New York State."

Judy's obituary is below her picture. Please take a few minutes to read it. The arrangements will be entirely at Holy Name of Mary Church in Croton-on-Hudson NY.  Judy's wake is Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Saturday at 10AM.

We are now counting on Judy to intercede for all of us.

We were all so privileged to have Judy in our lives, she impacted so many – born and unborn – in a positive and loving way. She will be dearly missed.

  2. God bless her to Heaven.

A special note regarding our friend, Judy Anderson. It was Judy who I spoke to m3 after Mass
in Croton regarding ProLife. I had recently retired from work as a Probation Officer for West.
County so the timing was perfect…it was 2007 I think. I started to get involved with the Tea
Party and Right to Life around the same time. I have written to Judy twice to thank her and
to tell her how very grateful I am to be standing up on the street against abortion and other
decidedly moral issues simply because it is the right thing to so. How wonderful to have this
focus in my old age. And it is because she approached me after Mass. So I wrote to thank her.
Just thought that you two should also know how Judy’s stance affected me. Thank God.
May God rest her immortal soul….rest in peace Judy.

  4. What a great loss for all of us! May she rest in eternal peace and intercede for all of us whom she has inspired and supported in the pro-life movement for so many years! We will greatly miss you!
