Melissa was at a fundraiser in White Plains in 2019. She was saved in 1977 by a nurse who rushed her to the hospital neonatal unit. Ultimately Melissa was adopted. She has an MSW degree. Her story is compelling &#8211; especially about tracking down her biological relations (including her birth mother) who she now has a close relationship with. Not mentioned &#8211; the abortion attempt was a saline abortion.
