In 2013, Pope Francis<\/a> said:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe should commit ourselves to \u2018eucharistic coherence,\u2019 that is, we should be conscious that people cannot receive Holy Communion and at the same time act or speak against the commandments, in particular when abortion, euthanasia, and other serious crimes against life and family are facilitated. This responsibility applies particularly to legislators, governors, and health professionals.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

As well as this commentary from Archbishop Naumann, who chairs the U.S. Catholic bishops\u2019 pro-life committee –<\/p>\n

Catholic Archbishop Joseph Naumann spoke out again this week against President Joe Biden receiving communion unless he repents of his radical pro-abortion actions.<\/a><\/p>\n

Biden \u201cdoesn\u2019t believe what we believe about the sacredness of human life,\u201d Naumann said, according to the Daily Wire<\/a>. And unless he repents, he should not receive the Eucharist, the archbishop continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, the president doesn\u2019t believe what we believe about the sacredness of human life, or he wouldn\u2019t be taking the actions that he is,\u201d Naumann said. \u201cAnd yet, he continues to receive the Eucharist. We can\u2019t judge his heart. But we consider the action itself a grave moral evil.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said the president\u2019s repeated claims to faith coupled with his anti-Catholic policies have created a difficult challenge for Catholic leaders.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the issues is the extent to which he supports legalized abortion, even to the point of wanting all Americans to fund abortion,\u201d Naumann said. \u201cBut the bigger issue, for us \u2026 is that he does these things, and then in reply to questions about them, he or his press secretary says, \u2018Biden\u2019s a devout Catholic.\u2019 Whether he intends it or not, he\u2019s basically saying to people, \u2018You can be a good Catholic and do similar things.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Biden already has made abortion on demand a priority in his administration. Just two days after taking office, he celebrated the anniversary of <\/a>Roe v. Wade<\/em><\/a>, the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that led to the unnecessary killing of more than 62 million unborn babies in abortions.<\/p>\n
