Boehner of Ohio, who spoke via a recorded video, called on the<br \/>\nprotest group, particularly the young people, to make abortion \u201ca relic<br \/>\nof the past.\u201d        <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cHuman<br \/>\nlife is not an economic or political commodity, and no government on<br \/>\nearth has the right to treat it that way,\u201d he said.        <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The<br \/>\ncrowd was dotted with large banners, many bearing the names of the<br \/>\nattendees\u2019 home states and churches and colleges. Gary Storey, 36, stood<br \/>\nholding a handmade sign that read \u201cI was adopted. Thanks Mom for my<br \/>\nlife.\u201d Next to him stood his adoptive mother, Ellen Storey, 66, who held<br \/>\nher own handmade sign with a picture of her six children and the words<br \/>\n\u201cTo the mothers of our four adopted children, \u2018Thank You\u2019 for their<br \/>\nlives.\u201d        <\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Mr. Storey said he was grateful for the decision by his biological mother to carry through with her <a href=\"http:\/\/topics.nytimes.com\/top\/news\/health\/diseasesconditionsandhealthtopics\/pregnancy\/index.html?inline=nyt-classifier\" title=\"Recent and archival health news about pregnancy.\">pregnancy<\/a>. \u201cBeats the alternative,\u201d he joked. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We will be posting pictures from HVCL members in the next several days.
